As the Holidays are Approaching and People reflect on their Year and how it falls in Line with their Life… I would have to say Sunday was a proud moment, as my Childhood Alma Mater, L.A.C.E.S. High School hosted Basketball Results West’s 2nd Annual Celebrity Charity Basketball Game. Just a brief background, the school took children from 4th-12th Grade, and nurtured people like Leonardo DiCaprio, David Arquette, Patricia Arquette, Rosanna Arquette, Laila Ali and B Real’s Group “Psycho Realm“. So it was cool as s#!t to see a Celebrity Charity Basketball Game in a Basketball Stadium that didn’t exist where the P.E. Yard used to be.
So some Bomb Peeps rolled through in Today’s Times to Support a Good Cause of getting Kids off the Streets while improving their Focus and Skills through the Game of Basketball and even saw the Support of Sponsors like Nike & The Los Angeles Lakers. Movers and Shakers in the Industry like Kayla Collins bringing out the Adorable Side of Sport… and Bo Benton giving it that touch of Jazz, Disco, R&B… and Rock.. and , u get the picture. We also saw Bill Bellamy with his Wife Kristen Baker and Daughter Bailey Bellamy. They also have a son who wasn’t in attendance named Baron Bellamy, and I honestly can’t imagine how many tongues get twisted trying to call out names in that household.
America’s Next Top Model Cycle 20’s Standout Dude Don Benjamin stopped by, showin off his Game Huztle while reppin his Beanie from “The Miracle Brand“. Craig Wayans came on behalf of his Wayans Family Peeps and one of my Closest Friends in this Business… Bailiff Mason C. Burroughs from “Judge Alex” who also happens to be Bodyguard to the Stars like Paris Hilton brought his whole family through… Complete with Mini-Me sons. And I’ll say it was damn Good to see Doug Christie playing, bringing back great memories of Games between the Lakers and the Sacramento Kings (I was jumpin off the walls on the During the 2002 NBA Finals Game 7 Overtime) as well as with the burgeoning Clippers.
And we can’t forget Najee De-Tiege, the Blue Ranger from Power Rangers Samurai. But would you Dare to Believe who the Strangest Guest of the evening was ?? …. You Will Never Guess this.
CNN News Great Larry King stopped by and was Gone In Sixty Seconds… Like a Myth. An Old Fart In The Wind.
In Many ways this Night was One to Remember. One to visit the Spirit of the Past, To be Thankful for the Present… In Hopes for the Future.
It’s Beginning to feel a lot like Christmas.
